WWA
fans, IT'S SHOWTIME! The Stinger is back in black, and he is back
with the World Wrestling Allstars! After a length absence from the
sport (about 18 months), Sting decided to return to wrestling, and
in a big way, winning the World Wrestling Allstars Heavyweight Title
from his long time friend and foe, "The Total Package" Lex
Luger.
After
the demise of WCW, Sting fled to the rafters, waiting for the right
time to strike, and make his mark in professional wrestling once
again, eventually debuting with the WWA on their 2002 tour of
Europe.
Sting
has long been considered "The Franchise" of wrestling,
remaining a big time player in WCW, capturing the WCW World Title on
6 separate occasions (equaling Hollywood Hulk Hogan's total number
of WCW reigns). Only one man has held the WCW title more times then
that of Sting, a man that Sting has gone back and forth with many
times during his career, Ric Flair. The battles between Ric Flair
and Sting, are considered some of the greatest matches of all time,
and it is not hard to see why!
During
his illustrious tenure in World Championship Wrestling, Sting was
the thorn in the New World Order's side, facing Hulk Hogan at WCW
Starrcade 1997, in one of the most built up matches in wrestling
history. Sting was also a member of the nWo Wolfpac, otherwise known
as nWo Red and Black.
With
his trademark black bat in hand, future WWA competitors, take
notice, as with Sting, there is only one thing for sure, and that is
nothing is for sure!
